Coverage

Mobile Broadband is available wherever you find our mobile network.

That means you've got coverage in 97% of the places where New Zealanders live, work and play.
Our 3G network (and in rural areas our 3G Extended network) provides the fastest internet access, and it is backed up by our long standing 2G network, so you get more coverage in more places.

The bars provide an indication of the network coverage where you are, but variables such as the volume of internet traffic and your hardware also impact on the actual coverage you experience.

How can I improve my Mobile Broadband coverage?

  • make sure you're using the best device for your needs
  • keep your Mobile Broadband device up-to-date
  • check out the building you're sitting in - bricks and concrete can interfere with wireless data transfer

We are constantly improving our mobile network, so check your 3G coverage regularly - you might be surprised to find you've got better coverage than you thought.
