What they did differently
Out with the old, in with the new. Shifting Robert Harris cafés from dial-up to Vodafone Office Net lets them run EFTPOS and broadband through the same line. That means speedier transactions and, as there’s no need for a dedicated EFTPOS line, franchisees save $40 a month on landline rental.
Free WiFi for customers. Vodafone Office Net lets Robert Harris café owners offer customers access to their WiFi for free (with 60MB limit per user, per 24 hours), without increasing their data bill.
Streamlining technology systems. Using Vodafone’s reliable broadband, franchisees are now using a cloudbased point of sale system that is more secure and gives easy access to real-time business data. It also means they’re using Xero to keep their accounting up-to-date.
Virtual reality. Remotely supporting franchisees all over the country is a reality for Robert Harris support office, which is planning on using Virtual Office technologies such as VOIP and video conferencing to keep in touch with franchisees on a more regular basis.
