Terms - One NZ Rewards

1.1 Please note that as of 31 March 2023 we have updated our One New Zealand Rewards terms. If you would like to see the old One New Zealand Rewards terms, you can the archived Rewards terms here.

1.2 If you have any questions related to these terms and conditions or the One New Zealand Rewards programme please contact the One New Zealand Rewards team by email hello@onenzrewards.nz, or call 0800 102 902. The terms of this promotion are as stated in writing here, and no other representations (written or oral) shall apply.

1.3 The Promoter is One New Zealand Group Limited, 74 Taharoto Road, Takapuna, Auckland 0622, New Zealand (“Promoter”). The promotion is administered by Rapport Group Limited (company number 6781753), with a registered office at 109a Ponsonby Road, Auckland (“Rapport”). All correspondence regarding the One New Zealand Rewards movie promotion should be directed to Rapport on 0800 102 902 or via email hello@onenzrewards.nz.

1. General One NZ Rewards Terms and Conditions:

1.1 One New Zealand’s “Rewards” loyalty programme provides various prizes, discounts, vouchers, tickets and other benefits (“Offers”) on some of our plans. Specific terms for each current Offer are listed at the bottom of this page. Subject to those, the following general terms also apply.

One New Zealand Rewards eligibility:

1.2 To be eligible to receive One New Zealand Rewards Offers (an “Eligible User”) you must be:

  • A One New Zealand Broadband or Mobile account holder; or
  • the account holder has given you access to the One New Zealand Broadband or Mobile service; or
  • A permanent One New Zealand employee,
  • And you must have an active My One NZ account.

You can create a My One NZ account by downloading the My One NZ App and choosing ‘Register now’. Once you’ve registered and signed into the app, follow the instructions on screen to add your service and then you can access and use One New Zealand Rewards. If you have any issues creating a My One NZ account or signing into One New Zealand Rewards using your My One NZ credentials, you can call 777 from your mobile.

1.3 All data collected through the One New Zealand Rewards programme becomes the property of One New Zealand. Any personal information collected is subject to the One New Zealand New Zealand Privacy Policy.

1.4 By participating in One New Zealand Rewards or by submitting any contact details, you consent to receive the latest news, special offers, promotions and information from One New Zealand by email, TXT or other channels from time to time. If at any stage you do not want to receive this information then please let us know by contacting 777 from your One New Zealand mobile, going to My One NZ at one.nz, or use the unsubscribe feature on emails we send you. Any personal information which we collect from you will only be used in accordance with One New Zealand’s Privacy Policy.

1.5 Any persons using One New Zealand Rewards or taking advantage of any One New Zealand Rewards Offer do so on complete acceptance of these terms and conditions and the One New Zealand New Zealand Privacy Policy.

2. Offers and Competitions (‘Offers’)

2.1 One New Zealand may extend, cancel or amend an Offer at any time, at its sole discretion.

2.2 One New Zealand reserves the right to cancel or amend the terms and conditions of an Offer without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, COVID-19 and any related restrictions and/or lockdowns, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any event outside of their control. Any change will be notified as soon as possible.

2.3 You cannot transfer any Offers you receive to others, or exchange Offers for cash or other benefits. If you are under 18 years of age, we reserve the right to award any Offers you receive to your parent or guardian.

2.4 For any Offers where payment is taken on a third-party site, any requests for amendments or refunds need to be made with the site that took the payment.

2.5 One New Zealand takes no responsibility for any inability to take up an Offer due to equipment or technical malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnection, force majeure or otherwise. Compensation will not be provided should this occur.

2.6 For Offers which provide access to experiences or events, or where any third party is involved in providing the Offers (“Third Party”):

  • your use of the Offers is subject to any Third Party’s terms that may apply, including restrictions on access to venues such as an age limit. You agree that One New Zealand and any Third Party are not responsible for any refused entry, cancellations or changes to any events; lost, stolen or damaged tickets or vouchers; incorrectly completed, lost, delayed or unprocessed online purchases; or the validity of any tickets or vouchers.
  • any tickets or vouchers are subject to limited availability and will be provided on a first come, first served basis. Tickets and vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be transferred or sold without the prior written consent of One New Zealand or any relevant Third Party. It is your responsibility to ensure that tickets or vouchers are used before any specified expiry date.
  • any expenses (including travel, accommodation, food and beverage and any other costs) incurred in relation to accepting or using the Offer is your and your guest’s responsibility.
  • any guests that accompany you to events will be deemed to have accepted these terms.

2.7 One New Zealand (and any relevant Third Party) makes no guarantee as to the quality and/or availability of the Offers, and is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered, including but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of accepting or using an Offer, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

2.8 Those taking up an Offer are responsible for ensuring that they meet all current guidelines and requirements related to Covid-19. One New Zealand and the promoter will not be responsible where vaccination, testing, isolation, positive test results or any other health or travel related requirements prevent the use of an Offer.

2.9 Any costs, expenses or elements not specifically listed in the prize (including travel, accommodation, food and beverages, and any other costs) are the sole responsibility of the winner.

3. Competitions, Prize Draws or Offers with a Specific Entry Requirement

The following terms apply to any competitions or prize draws or other similar promotions with specific entry requirements:

3.1 Only one application is permitted per person per Offer. Entry is open to One New Zealand customers and One New Zealand employees, except: (1) anyone aged 15 or under; and (2) anyone professionally connected with any Offers.

3.2 You must be a current One New Zealand customer or employee in order to be eligible to win a prize from One New Zealand Rewards. Winners of prizes will be notified using the details provided as part of your My One NZ registration. It is the responsibility of the customer to keep these contact details up to date. If we have made two (2) reasonable attempts to contact a winner, and the winner has not responded within 48 hours, or the winner is unable to use the prize, the prize will be forfeited, and One New Zealand will randomly choose another winner. In the event of any dispute, One New Zealand’s decision is final.

3.3 One New Zealand takes no responsibility for any inability to enter, complete, continue or conclude the Competition due to equipment or technical malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnection, force majeure or otherwise.

3.4 For Competitions which provide access to experiences or events, or where any third party is involved in providing the prize (“Third Party”):

  • your use of the prize is subject to any Third Party’s terms that may apply, including restrictions on access to venues such as an age limit. You agree that One New Zealand and any Third Party are not responsible for any refused entry, cancellations or changes to any events; lost, stolen or damaged tickets or vouchers; incorrectly completed, lost, delayed or unprocessed online purchases; or the validity of any tickets or vouchers.
  • any guests that accompany you to events will be deemed to have accepted these terms.

3.5 In order to fulfil a prize, details you provide to us when you accept the prize may be shared with the nominated One New Zealand Rewards agency, a Third-party or their agency.

3.6 The prize is subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice throughout the promotional period.

3.7 Any costs, expenses or elements not specifically listed in the prize (including travel, accommodation, food and beverages, and any other costs) are the sole responsibility of the winner.

3.8 The prizes are as stated within the Offer. No cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes cannot be substituted, are not transferrable and cannot be sold, if One New Zealand becomes aware this has happened, we reserve the right to withdraw/cancel the prize.

3.9 All rights in any entries and materials provided to us through participation in One New Zealand Rewards become our property. By participating you agree to participate in any publicity related to the Offer, and that One New Zealand can use your likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording) in any media for an unlimited period of time without payment, to promote One New Zealand Rewards and any of its other products and services.

3.10 One New Zealand accepts no responsibility if any part of the prize becomes unavailable due to extenuating circumstances, including Covid-19, for example travel being cancelled, postponed, moved or rescheduled. Should the prize become unavailable, no replacement prize will be offered.

3.11 One New Zealand and any promoter involved in a competition are not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of accepting or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

3.12 One New Zealand's decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

4. Presales & Events

4.1 One New Zealand Presales give One New Zealand customers access to purchase tickets before a general sale. Tickets are limited, provided on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to availability.

4.2 All tickets are purchased from a Ticketing Partner, the details of which are provided in the presale information. Any queries related to your tickets, including ticket change requests, refunds or event cancellations, need to be made to the Ticketing Partner, as One New Zealand does not have any information on the tickets that you have purchased. Details on contacting the Ticketing Partner can be found on their website, the details of which are provided in the presale information.

4.3 Each Event has a maximum amount of tickets that can be purchased, details of which are outlined in the specific terms and conditions of that Offer. If either One New Zealand, Live Nation or the Ticketing Partner suspect any excessive, or fraudulent activity by you or on your behalf via your account, we reserve the right to cancel any of your orders and/or prohibit you from making future orders.

4.4 Any tickets purchased through a One New Zealand presale are subject to any Third Party’s terms that may apply, including restrictions on access to venues and age restrictions. You agree that One New Zealand and any Third Party are not responsible for any refused entry, cancellations or changes to any events; lost, stolen or damaged tickets or vouchers; incorrectly completed, lost, delayed or unprocessed online purchases; or the validity of any tickets or vouchers.

4.5 All expenses incurred in relation to taking up a One New Zealand presale ticketing offer (including travel, accommodation, food and beverage and any other costs) are the responsibility of the ticket holder.

4.6 Live Nation, the ticketing partner and One New Zealand accept no responsibility if the event becomes unavailable due to the event being cancelled, postponed, moved or rescheduled. One New Zealand, the ticketing partner and Live Nation are not responsible for any incidental costs, including if an event is postponed or cancelled.

5. One New Zealand Movies Promotion

5.1 By participating in the One New Zealand Rewards Movie promotion, you accept these terms and conditions and the One New Zealand New Zealand Privacy Policy. Purchase of One New Zealand Rewards movie vouchers or tickets is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions, including the terms and conditions specific to the cinema (see further below).

5.2 Pricing, terms and conditions and the list of participating cinemas may vary from time to time. You are bound by the conditions applicable on the day of purchase. All vouchers and tickets are sold on a no refund, exchange or cancellation basis.

5.3 One New Zealand New Zealand or its agent Rapport Group Limited reserve the right to cancel this One New Zealand Rewards benefit at any time, modify the pricing, modify the terms and conditions and to disqualify any individual who is deemed to be abusing the One New Zealand Rewards Movie promotion.

5.4 All prices listed on this site are in New Zealand Dollars.

Purchasing and Refunds

5.5 One New Zealand discounted movie tickets and vouchers can only be purchased at rewards.one.nz, via the One New Zealand website, or via the My One NZ App. You cannot purchase One New Zealand vouchers/ticket prices directly through a participating cinema’s website, by phone or in the cinema.

5.6 During periods of high demand, stock may become unavailable, or availability may be limited. Eligible users are not entitled to any compensation for a lack of stock availability.

5.7 Up to ten (10) vouchers or tickets can be purchased in a single transaction.

5.8 Payments for vouchers or tickets can be made by debit or credit card only. You must be properly authorised to use the debit or credit card that you use to purchase the vouchers or tickets.

5.9 Eligible users can purchase a maximum of forty (40) One New Zealand discounted tickets or vouchers in a calendar month. Purchases in excess of this limit are deemed to be an abuse of this One New Zealand benefit and One New Zealand is entitled to cancel any vouchers or tickets issued with no obligation to refund the purchaser.

5.10 Payment for all vouchers and tickets is taken by Rapport Group Limited on behalf of One New Zealand Rewards. Your purchase will appear on your statement as a debit for One New Zealand Movies Promo.

5.11 Vouchers will be sent from hello@customer.one.nz to the nominated email address and can also be found by clicking on the ticket icon when logged into the One New Zealand Rewards website.

5.12 From time-to-time cinema ticket prices may be lower than the purchase price of the One New Zealand voucher or One New Zealand ticket price. Eligible users are not entitled to any compensation, change or refund should a cinema ticket price be lower than the price paid on the One New Zealand Rewards website.

5.13 Once purchased, vouchers and tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. No change will be given. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure the vouchers/tickets are used by their expiry date, no extension or refund will be given.

5.14 Prices vary between cinemas, so please check pricing prior to purchase. A payment processing fee of 3.75% is charged in addition to the Voucher/ticket cost.

5.15 Vouchers or tickets bought through the One New Zealand Rewards website cannot be sold to any other individual or company, or gifted for commercial gain, without the prior written consent of both One New Zealand New Zealand Limited and the applicable cinema. A breach of this term is deemed to be an abuse of this One New Zealand benefit and One New Zealand is entitled to cancel any vouchers or tickets issued with no obligation to refund the purchaser or the recipient of the vouchers/tickets.

5.16 To the extent permitted by law, all refunds will be at the sole discretion of One New Zealand.

6. Use of One New Zealand movie vouchers and tickets at participating cinemas

6.1 Film classification rules apply to all movies. It is your responsibility to check the classification of each movie prior to purchase on the One New Zealand Rewards website. ID may be required. The cinema may refuse any ticket holders entry to restricted movies who do not meet the age criteria or who cannot provide proof of age, and they will not provide a refund.

6.2 To the extent permitted by law, neither the Promoter, Rapport nor its agents and distributors guarantee the quality and/or availability of the services offered by the venues nor can they be held liable for any resulting personal loss or damage.

6.3 Any disputes raised by customers pertaining to use of the tickets or vouchers are strictly between the customer and the participating cinema.

6.4 It is the responsibility of those using the vouchers/tickets to ensure they meet all current guidelines related to Covid-19. One New Zealand will not be responsible where vaccination, testing, isolation, positive test results and any other health or travel-related requirements prevent using a voucher/ticket.

HOYTS Cinema Voucher Terms and Conditions

6.5 These vouchers are valid at any HOYTS or Berkeley Cinema in New Zealand. They cannot be used at any other One New Zealand Rewards participating cinema.

6.6 Vouchers must be exchanged for a ticket at a HOYTS Box Office or Candy Bar or redeemed at HOYTS.co.nz.

  • To redeem in cinema please either show the voucher on your mobile device or take a printed copy of the voucher. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure the voucher details, including the barcode is legible.
  • If redeemed at HOYTS.co.nz both the voucher number and PIN are required to be entered. HOYTS will charge an additional online booking fee for redeeming on the HOYTS website, as of 11 January 2023 the fee is $1.65 but may be subject to change.

6.7 The purchase of a One New Zealand movie voucher does not guarantee availability of a ticket to a specific movie or session. One New Zealand movie voucher holders will receive no preference over other HOYTS’ customers in purchasing tickets. A refund will not be given if your desired session is not available.

6.8 Each One New Zealand Adult Off-Peak Voucher:

  • can be used for any standard session at HOYTS or Berkeley cinemas in New Zealand, except after 2:00pm on Saturday, Sunday or anytime on public holidays; or
  • for any 3D or Xtremescreen movie session with an upgrade fee (which will be applied at time of redemption);
  • is valid until the expiry date and cannot be exchanged, extended or replaced; and
  • can only be used once.

6.9 Each One New Zealand Child Off-Peak Voucher:

  • is for use by children between three (3) and fifteen (15) years of age. Children aged two (2) years and under receive free admittance, as long as they are sitting on the knee of a fully paid adult throughout the duration of the film;
  • can be used for any standard session at HOYTS or Berkeley cinemas in New Zealand, except after 2:00pm on Saturday, Sunday or anytime on public holidays; or for any 3D or Xtremescreen movie session with an upgrade fee (which will be applied at time of redemption);
  • is valid until the expiry date and cannot be exchanged, extended or replaced;
  • and can only be used once.

6.10 One New Zealand Adult Off-Peak Vouchers and One New Zealand Child Off-Peak Vouchers cannot be:

  • used for sessions after 2:00pm on Saturday or Sunday;
  • used on public holidays;
  • redeemed for or upgraded to D-BOX, HOYTS LUX, recliner, Film Festival, special or group events;
  • used to purchase 3D glasses. 3D glasses must be purchased separately at an additional cost;
  • used in conjunction with any other offer;
  • replaced or refunded if lost, stolen or damaged;
  • used to purchase any pre-paid movie vouchers, gift cards, Candy Bar items or HOYTS Rewards memberships;
  • exchanged for cash (and change will not be given irrespective of cinema pricing);
  • or sold to any other individual or company, or gifted for commercial gain, without the prior written consent of both One New Zealand New Zealand and HOYTS cinemas (NZ) Ply Ltd.

6.11 HOYTS Cinema terms and conditions apply, and can be found at HOYTS.co.nz/pages/terms-and-conditions, including ticket terms and conditions of entry.

EVENT Cinema Voucher Terms and Conditions

6.12 These vouchers are valid at any EVENT Cinema, Rialto Dunedin or Rialto Newmarket in New Zealand. They cannot be used at any other One New Zealand Rewards participating cinema.

6.13 Vouchers must be exchanged for a ticket at an Event Cinema Box Office or Candy Bar or redeemed at eventcinema.co.nz.

  • To redeem in cinema please either show the voucher on your mobile device or take a printed copy of the voucher. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure the voucher details, including the barcode is legible.
  • If redeemed at eventcinema.co.nz both the voucher number and PIN are required to be entered. EVENT Cinema will charge an additional online booking fee for redeeming on the EVENT website, as of 11 January 2023 the fee is $1.65 but may be subject to change.

6.14 The purchase of a One New Zealand movie voucher does not guarantee availability of a ticket to a specific movie or session. One New Zealand movie voucher holders will receive no preference over other EVENT Cinemas’ customers in purchasing tickets. A refund will not be given if your desired session is not available.

6.15 There are four (4) types of One New Zealand vouchers available for Event Cinemas. One New Zealand Anytime Vouchers can be used at any time, while One New Zealand Off-peak Vouchers have blackout dates and times.

  • One New Zealand Adult Anytime Voucher, valid to be used at any time.
  • One New Zealand Adult Off-peak Voucher, valid to be used at any time, except after 5:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and all day on public holidays.
  • One New Zealand Child Anytime Voucher, valid to be used at any time. For use by children between three (3) and fifteen (15) years of age.
  • One New Zealand Child Off-peak Voucher, valid to be used at any time, except after 5:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and all day on public holidays. For use by children between three (3) and fifteen (15) years of age.

6.16 Each voucher is redeemable for one (1) general admission ticket for one (1) adult or one (1) child (as purchased) and:

  • can be used for any standard session EVENT Cinema, Rialto Dunedin or Rialto Newmarket in New Zealand, except for Off-Peak Vouchers that cannot be used after 5pm on Friday and Saturday or all day on public holidays;
  • can be upgraded to IMAX, VMAX, 3D or Premium seating options when a surcharge is paid at the same time as redeeming the voucher;
  • is valid until the expiry date and cannot be exchanged, extended or replaced;
  • and can only be used once.

6.17 One New Zealand Anytime Vouchers and One New Zealand Off-peak Vouchers cannot be:

  • redeemed for or upgraded to Gold Class, Boutique Cinemas, Day Bed seating, Embassy Theatre Platinum seating, movie marathons, group bookings, advanced screenings, special events and experiences, film festivals, alternative content and select World Cinema;
  • used to purchase 3D glasses. 3D glasses must be purchased separately at an additional cost;
  • used in conjunction with any other offer;
  • replaced or refunded if lost, stolen or damaged;
  • used to purchase any pre-paid movie vouchers, gift cards or Candy Bar items;
  • exchanged for cash (and change will not be given irrespective of cinema pricing); or
  • sold to any other individual or company, or gifted for commercial gain, without the prior written consent of both One New Zealand New Zealand and EVENT Cinemas (NZ) Limited.

6.18 Event Cinema terms and conditions apply, and can be found at eventcinemas.co.nz/Terms including ticket terms and conditions of entry.

Independent Cinema Voucher Terms and Conditions:

6.19 These voucher terms and conditions relate to vouchers at the following participating Independent Cinemas:

  • Cinema Paradiso, Canterbury
  • Dome Cinema, Gisborne
  • Focal Point Cinema & Café Fielding, Manawatu-Whanganui
  • Focal Point Cinema & Café Hastings, Hawkes Bay
  • Focal Point Cinema & Café Levin, Manawatu-Whanganui
  • Focal Point Cinema & Café Palmerston North, Manawatu-Whanganui
  • Hollywood 3, Canterbury
  • Light House Cuba, Wellington-Wairarapa
  • Light House Pauatahanui, Wellington-Wairarapa
  • Light House Petone, Wellington-Wairarapa
  • NBS Theatre, West Coast
  • State Cinema Motueka, Nelson-Tasman Bay

6.20 These vouchers are valid for the cinema they are purchased for. They cannot be used at any other One New Zealand Rewards participating cinema.

6.21 Vouchers must be exchanged for your ticket at the Cinema Box Office or Candy Bar.

  • To redeem in cinema please either show the voucher on your mobile device or take a printed copy of the voucher. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure the voucher details, including the barcode is legible.
  • Vouchers cannot be redeemed on the relevant cinema’s website.

6.22 The purchase of a One New Zealand movie voucher does not guarantee availability of a ticket to a specific movie or session. One New Zealand movie voucher holders will receive no preference over the cinemas’ other customers in purchasing tickets. A refund will not be given if your desired session is not available.

6.23 There are two (2) types of One New Zealand vouchers that may be available for purchase. Cinemas choose which vouchers are available, so not all voucher types may be available at all cinemas.

  • One New Zealand Anytime Vouchers can be used at any time
  • One New Zealand Anytime Child Vouchers are for use by children between three (3) and fifteen (15) years of age.

6.24 Each Voucher is redeemable for one (1) general admission ticket for one (1) adult or one (1) child (as purchased) and:

  • can be used for any standard 2D session at the nominated cinema;
  • can be used for any 3D with an upgrade fee, which will be applied at time of redemption;
  • is valid until the expiry date and cannot be exchanged, extended or replaced; and
  • can only be used once.

6.25 One New Zealand vouchers cannot be:

  • redeemed or upgraded for any session where the ticket price is higher than a standard admission ticket including group bookings, advanced screenings, special events and experiences, film festivals, Met Opera, NT or premium content;
  • used to purchase 3D glasses. 3D glasses must be purchased separately at an additional cost;
  • used in conjunction with any other offer;
  • replaced or refunded if lost, stolen or damaged;
  • used to purchase any pre-paid movie vouchers, gift cards or Candy Bar items;
  • exchanged for cash (and change will not be given irrespective of cinema pricing); or
  • sold to any other individual or company, or gifted for commercial gain, without the prior written consent of both One New Zealand New Zealand Limited and the applicable cinema.

6.26 Individual cinemas have the right to refuse entry based on their own terms and conditions. Please see the applicable cinema’s website for more details.

Independent Cinema ticket terms and conditions

6.27 These terms and conditions relate to tickets at the following participating Independent Cinemas:

  • Alice Cinema, Canterbury
  • Deluxe Cinema, Canterbury
  • Monterey Cinema Howick, Auckland
  • Monterey Cinema Takapuna, Auckland
  • Monterey Cinema Upper Hutt, Wellington-Wairarapa
  • Regent Greymouth, West Coast
  • Rubys Cinema & Bar, Otago
  • The Bridgeway, Auckland
  • Town Hall Cinema, Canterbury

6.28 Tickets for the cinemas can be purchased for specific movie sessions and times.

6.29 Tickets must be taken to the Cinema Box Office or Candy Bar. To redeem in cinema please either show the ticket or booking reference on your mobile device or take a printed copy of the ticket. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure the ticket details, including the barcode is legible.

6.30 There are two (2) types of One New Zealand tickets that may be available for purchase, in addition to the cinema’s standard tickets. Cinemas choose which tickets are available, so not all ticket types may be available at all cinemas. Prices are specific to the time of the session and vary between cinemas, so please check pricing prior to purchase.

6.31 Discounted pricing is only available on standard 2D sessions. Standard cinema pricing will apply where the ticket price is higher than a standard admission ticket including group bookings, advanced screenings, special events and experiences, film festivals, Met Opera, NT or premium content.
