Vodafone Rewards General Terms

General Terms

Please note that as of 28 May 2019 we have updated our Vodafone Rewards terms (previously “Fantastic Fridays” terms). If you would like to see the old Vodafone Rewards terms, you can find them here. If you have any questions about the new terms, please contact us at sponsorship@vodafone.com

Vodafone’s “Vodafone Rewards” loyalty programme provides various prizes, discounts, vouchers, tickets and other benefits (“Offers”) on some of our plans. Specific terms for each current Offer are listed at the bottom of this page. Subject to those, the following general terms also apply:

1) To be eligible to receive Vodafone rewards offers you must be:

a. A Vodafone Broadband or Mobile account holder; or

b. the account holder has given you access to the Vodafone Broadband or Mobile service; or

c. A permanent Vodafone employee.

d. And you have an active My Vodafone account.

You can create a My Vodafone account by downloading the My Vodafone App and choosing ‘Register now’. Once you’ve registered and signed into the app, follow the instructions on screen to add your service and then you can access and use Vodafone Rewards. If you have any issues creating a My Vodafone account or signing into Vodafone Rewards using your My Vodafone credentials, you can call 777 from your mobile.

2) Vodafone may extend, cancel or amend an Offer at any time, at its sole discretion.

3) You cannot transfer any Offers you receive to others, or exchange Offers for cash or other benefits. If you are under 18 years of age, we reserve the right to award any Offers you receive to your parent or guardian.

4) For Offers which provide access to experiences or events, or where any third party is involved in providing the Offers (“Third Party”):

a) your use of the Offers is subject to any Third Party’s terms that may apply, including restrictions on access to venues. You agree that Vodafone and any Third Party are not responsible for any refused entry, cancellations or changes to any events; lost, stolen or damaged tickets or vouchers; incorrectly completed, lost, delayed or unprocessed online purchases; or the validity of any tickets or vouchers.

b) any tickets or vouchers are subject to limited availability and will be provided on a first come, first served basis. Tickets and vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be transferred or sold without the prior written consent of Vodafone or any relevant Third Party. It is your responsibility to ensure that tickets or vouchers are used before any specified expiry date.

c) any expenses (including travel, accommodation, food and beverage and any other costs) incurred in relation to accepting or using the Offer is your and your guest’s responsibility.

d) any guests that accompany you to events will be deemed to have accepted these terms. Customers under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the events by a parent or guardian.

5) The following terms apply to any competitions or prize draws or other similar promotions with specific entry requirements:

a) only one application is permitted per person per Offer. Entry is open to Vodafone customers and Vodafone employees, except: (1) anyone aged 15 or under; and (2) anyone professionally connected with any Offers.

b) you must be a current Vodafone customer or employee in order to be eligible to win a prize from Vodafone Rewards. Winners of prizes will be notified using the details provided as part of your My Vodafone registration, either by email or mobile. It is the responsibility of the customer to keep these contact details up to date. If we have made 1 reasonable attempt to contact a winner, and the winner has not responded within 24 hours, or the winner is unable to use the prize, the prize will be forfeited, and Vodafone will randomly choose another winner. In the event of any dispute, Vodafone’s decision is final.

c) all rights in any entries and materials provided to us through participation in Vodafone Rewards become our property. By participating you agree to participate in any publicity related to the Offer, and that Vodafone can use your likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording) in any media for an unlimited period of time without payment, to promote Vodafone Rewards and any of its other products.

6) Movie Offers are subject to the terms and conditions below. These vary depending on the cinema chosen.

7) By participating in Vodafone Rewards or by submitting any contact details, you consent to receive the latest news, special offers, promotions and information from Vodafone by email, TXT or other channels from time to time. If at any stage you do not want to receive this information then please let us know by contacting 777 from your Vodafone mobile, going to My Vodafone at www.vodafone.co.nz, or use the unsubscribe feature on emails we send you. Any personal information which we collect from you will only be used in accordance with Vodafone’s Privacy Policy.

8) Vodafone (and any relevant Third Party) makes no guarantee as to the quality and/or availability of the Offers, and is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered, including but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of accepting or using an Offer, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

9) Any persons taking advantage of any Vodafone Rewards offer do so on complete acceptance of these terms and conditions and the Vodafone New Zealand Privacy Policy.

EVENT Movie Tickets (“EVENT Movie Offer”)


EVENT Cinema’s standard terms and conditions which apply to all online movie Ticket purchases from time to time shall apply to all Tickets purchased as part of this EVENT Movie Offer. These are available here: https://www.eventcinemas.co.nz/terms.

Tickets can only be purchased as part of this EVENT Movie Offer at https://rewards.vodafone.co.nz, via the My Vodafone website, or via the My Vodafone App.

All eligible customers will be taken to the EVENT Cinemas website after choosing their movie on the Vodafone Rewards site. You cannot purchase Vodafone Ticket prices directly through the EVENT website, by phone or in the cinema.

This EVENT Movie Offer entitles current Vodafone customers and Vodafone employees to purchase up to 10 Tickets in a single transaction for use at EVENT Cinemas or Rialto Cinemas:

a. Vodafone Off peak Tickets: $11 each (excluding booking fees and GST) to be used at EVENT Cinemas any time other than after 5.00pm on Friday and Saturday evenings and on public holidays; and

b. Vodafone Peak Tickets: $14 each (excluding booking fees and GST) to be used at EVENT Cinemas after 5.00pm on Friday and Saturday evenings and on public holidays; and

c. Vodafone “Family” Pass (Tickets for 2 adults and 2 children, or 1 adult and 3 children) for $36 each (excluding booking fees and GST) to be used at EVENT Cinemas any time other than after 5.00pm on Friday and Saturday evenings and on public holidays. For the avoidance of doubt, to be eligible for a children’s Ticket you must be aged 3 years to 13 years.

d. A $1 booking fee applies to each Vodafone Off Peak and Vodafone Peak ticket purchased. A $4 booking fee applies to each Family Pass purchased.

Unless specified otherwise in a particular Offer:

a. Tickets for Gold Class, Boutique Cinema, CineIndia, CineAsia, Premium seating options or Embassy Platinum seating cannot be purchased as part of this EVENT Movie Offer; and

b. Tickets cannot be used for movie sessions designated by EVENT as a “Special Event“ on the EVENT Cinemas website.

c. EVENT Cinema IMAX, Vmax and 3D sessions have an associated surcharge which must be paid by all customers via the EVENT Cinemas website.

Movie Tickets must be purchased for a particular EVENT Cinema, date, time and session and are supplied by email.

The purchase of Tickets as part of this EVENT Movie Offer is strictly subject to availability. Vodafone customers and Vodafone employees will receive no preference over other EVENT customers in purchasing Tickets as part of this EVENT Movie Offer.


EVENT Food and Beverages (“EVENT Candy Bar Offers”),



These EVENT Candy Bar Offers entitle Vodafone customers and Vodafone employees who purchase:

a. a Ticket or Tickets as part of an EVENT Movie Offer, to also purchase a “Family Combo” of two regular popcorn and four small drinks for $25 (including GST) in association with the Ticket purchase; and

b. a Family Combo in association with their EVENT Movie Offer Ticket purchase, to also purchase four choc tops for an additional $16 (including GST) in association with the Ticket and Family Combo purchase; and

c. a Ticket or Tickets as part of an EVENT Movie Offer, to purchase a “Couple Combo” of one jumbo popcorn and two regular drinks for $15 (including GST) in association with the Ticket purchase.

d. a Ticket or Tickets as part of an EVENT Movie Offer, to also purchase a Regular combo of a regular popcorn and drink are entitled to be upgraded to a Jumbo combo of a jumbo popcorn and drink.

These EVENT Candy Bar Offers are not available at Rialto Cinemas.

EVENT Candy Bar Offers can only be purchased when purchasing Tickets via the Vodafone Rewards website. You will not be able to purchase these items at a later time or when at the cinema.


Payments, returns and refunds for EVENT and Rialto Offers

Payment for all EVENT and Rialto Cinema Tickets is taken by EVENT Cinemas and all Tickets are issued by EVENT Cinemas.

All Tickets and Candy Bar offers are sold on a no refund, exchange or cancellation basis. You must agree to EVENT Cinemas terms prior to purchase on the EVENT website. Please check your details carefully prior to payment.


Payments, returns and refunds for EVENT and Rialto Offers



Payment for all EVENT and Rialto Cinema Tickets is taken by EVENT Cinemas and all Tickets are issued by EVENT Cinemas.

All Tickets and Candy Bar offers are sold on a no refund, exchange or cancellation basis. You must agree to EVENT Cinemas terms prior to purchase on the EVENT website. Please check your details carefully prior to payment.


Independent e-Vouchers (“Independent Movie e-Voucher Offer”)



This Independent Movie Offer entitles Vodafone customers and Vodafone employees to purchase up to 10 Vodafone Rewards Adult e-vouchers (“e-Vouchers”) for $11.00 each at any of the participating independent cinemas (plus a $1 booking fee).

Tickets can only be purchased as part of this Independent Movie e-voucher Offer at https://rewards.vodafone.co.nz after signing in with your My Vodafone details, or via the My Vodafone App. E-Vouchers are supplied by email for use at the cinema the you select. These are not transferrable for use at another cinema, even if it participates in the Vodafone Rewards programme.

The e-Vouchers are valid for standard admission sessions only. E-Vouchers cannot be used for Special Event sessions, Live Performances, National Theatre, Film Festivals or any other session where the price for admission exceeds the standard admission price. They cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

The e-Vouchers must be exchanged at the Box Office for a ticket and are redeemable for one standard adult general admission ticket. You cannot use these e-Vouchers to book tickets on the cinema’s website. Each e-Voucher can only be used once.

Customers that purchase the Independent Movie Voucher Offer will be sent up to 10 Movie e-Vouchers to their nominated email address. These e-Vouchers are valid until the date printed on the voucher, which is eight months from the date of purchase. The e-Vouchers must be presented at a participating cinema and exchanged for a ticket.

Possession of an e-Voucher does not guarantee or reserve a seat. Due to advanced booking policies, the film or performance you wish to attend may be sold out and seats may not be available. Use of the e-Vouchers is subject to availability and may be limited during public and school holidays.

Neither Vodafone New Zealand Limited nor Rapport are liable for any loss suffered by customers when using the e-Vouchers.



Payments, returns and refunds for Independent Movie e-Voucher Offers



Only Credit or Debit Card payments will be accepted. Your purchase will appear on your statement as a debit from Vodafone Movies Promo.

Once e-Vouchers are purchased they are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. No change given.

It is the responsibility of the Vodafone customer to use the e-Voucher before the specified expiry date. E-Vouchers are sold with the understanding that e-Vouchers will not be extended or replaced.

Neither the Rapport, nor its agents or distributors accept liability for lost, stolen or damaged e-Vouchers. In the event that you lose your voucher, you will need to purchase a new e-voucher.

Neither Rapport, its agents or distributors will in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the purchaser or other bearer, or accept any liability for (a) any non-acceptance by a venue of the e-Vouchers; or (b) any inability by the bearer to use the e-Vouchers properly or at all; or (c) the contents, accuracy or use of either the e-Vouchers or the venue listing, nor will any of them be liable for any personal loss or injury occurring at the venue.

E-Vouchers cannot be transferred or sold without the prior written consent of participating cinemas.


Independent Movie Ticket (“Independent Movie Ticket Offer”)



Tickets can only be purchased as part of this Independent Movie Offer at https://rewards.vodafone.co.nz after signing in to the My Vodafone website, or via the My Vodafone App. All eligible customers will be able to buy Tickets through the Vodafone Rewards site.

You cannot purchase Vodafone Ticket prices directly through the cinema’s website, by phone or in person at the cinema.

This Independent Movie Ticket entitles Vodafone customers and Vodafone employees to purchase up to 10 Tickets at Vodafone Rewards prices in a single transaction at any of the participating independent cinemas. The Tickets are issued by email to be used at the selected cinema, film and session time:

a. Vodafone Rewards Adult Tickets are $11 each (plus a $1 booking fee); and

b. Vodafone Rewards Child Tickets are either $8.50 or $9 each depending on the cinema chosen (including GST). A booking fee of $1 is added to the Ticket price.

Independent Movie Tickets are not transferrable for use at another cinema, even if it participates in the Vodafone Rewards programme. They are not valid for other sessions or films even within the same cinema.

The purchase of Tickets as part of this Independent Movie Ticket Offer is subject to availability. Vodafone customers and Vodafone employees will receive no preference over other cinema customers in purchasing Tickets. Customers must present booking confirmation to the cinema Box Office on arrival. Customers may print this out, present it on a smartphone or alternatively write down the booking reference and present this.

Each Ticket can only be used once and is valid for the session time and location on booking confirmation.

Additional charges may apply for 3D films and for the rental of 3D glasses and will be payable at the cinema.

Vodafone Rewards Ticket prices are not available for Special Events, including Film Festivals, Live Performances, MET opera, National Theatre or premium content.


Payments, returns and refunds for Independent Movie Ticket Offers

Only Credit or Debit Card payments will be accepted. Your purchase will appear on your statement as a debit from Vodafone Movies Promo. A copy of your movie Tickets including your booking reference will be provided by email.

All Tickets are sold on a no refund, exchange or cancellation basis. It is the responsibility of the Vodafone customer to use the Ticket for the session they have been purchased for. You must agree to these terms prior to purchase on the Vodafone Rewards website. Please check your details carefully prior to payment.


Independent Cinemas Candy Bar Offers



From time to time, selected independent cinemas may offer Vodafone customers and Vodafone employees in possession of a Vodafone Rewards e-Voucher or Ticket a special offer at the Candy Bar.

Information on these offers will be provided with the confirmation email you receive after you have paid for your Vodafone Rewards e-Voucher or Movie Ticket.

These offers will be subject to the terms and conditions listed on the Candy Bar Offer information supplied and are only available at the cinemas listed as participating on the Candy Bar Offer.

These Candy Bar Offers are not transferrable to other cinemas or sessions when you are not using a Vodafone Rewards e-Voucher or Movie Ticket.

Cinemas may choose to change their Candy Bar Offer without notice.

12 Days of Giveaways Terms

Vodafone Rewards 12 Days of Giveaways 2019

  • Vodafone Rewards 12 Days of Giveaways will run from 12am on Monday 2 December to 11:59PM on Friday 13 December
  • All Vodafone customers with an active MyVodafonelogin are eligible to enter for prizes. You can create an account by downloading the My Vodafone App or signing up at https://www.vodafone.co.nz/?type=register&#sign-in. If you have any issues creating a My Vodafone log in or signing into Vodafone Rewards using your My Vodafone credentials you can call 777 from your mobile.
  • The prize available differs every day, entries for that day's prize will be open for one full calendar day (from 12:00am to 11:59pm). All eligible customers can enter once for each prize and must come back each day to enter for that day's prize.
  • Every prize entered will also give you one entry to the final day's grand prize. If you don't wish to be entered into the Grand Prize drawplease send us an email on rewards@vodafonerewards.co.nz.
  • Age restrictions may apply.
  • The winners will be notified by email on the following business day by receiving an email from rewards@vodafonerewards.co.nz. Winners will have 48 hours to respond to the email, if the winner does not respond within the timeframe, Vodafone have sole and absolute discretion to draw the prize again and reward the prize to a new winner.
  • Prizes can notbe transferred, swapped for an alternative prize and are not redeemable for cash.
