How COVID-19 may affect your Vodafone broadband order

Local fibre companies (e.g. Chorus, Enable, UFF and Northpower) moved back to business-as-usual at level 3, but with additional precautions to process your order as quickly and safely as possible.
If you have any further questions, we recommend using a digital way of contacting us if you can. Digital ways to contact us include My Vodafone app, Online chatbot TOBi, website help and online shop. Our social media care team is available between 8am-9pm every day, on Facebook and Twitter.

Are there any services I can't use with Wireless Broadband?
- If you have a monitored home alarm or medical alarm, it’s really important that you call your alarm provider to find out if it’s compatible with Wireless Broadband.
- You can’t use a SKY remote to download SKY "pay per view" movies or games, or SKY betting, but you can still order SKY "pay per view" movies or games by calling SKY TV.
- Other services that can’t be used with Wireless Broadband are: EFTPOS machines that require a landline, faxes, multi line, static IP and ISDN/PBXs.
How do I set up my new modem?
How do I choose my own Wi-Fi password?
- Connect a device to the Wi-Fi by using the network name (SSID) and password (Wi-Fi KEY) on the bottom of the modem.

Open a new browser on this device
- Go to 192.168.1.1
- Select Log In (top right corner) and use the details below
- Username: admin

Password: admin
If you have already updated this, use your username and password you created

Click the Settings tab
The Configure WLAN Settings screen appears -
From the left-side menu, expand the WLAN option and select WLAN Basic Settings
The WLAN Basic Settings screen appears - Select the network name (SSID on your modem) and click Edit
- In the SSID field, enter your new name for your Wi-Fi
- In the WLAN key section, enter your new password for your Wi-Fi
Click Apply
How do I set up my new home phones?
- Pop the batteries into each phone.
- Plug the larger base unit into the back of your new modem and into a power plug – no phone jack required.
- Plug the smaller base unit into any power socket – it’s a spare phone for you to have anywhere you’d like in your home.
Making phone calls – you’ll now need to dial the area code before dialling the phone number, eg 09, 07, 03 etc.

How can I keep track of my Wireless Broadband data?
The best place to track how much data you’re using, buy extra data or pay your bill is in the My Vodafone app. If you haven’t yet, download the app today from vodafone.co.nz/app and follow the steps to get set up. If your Wireless Broadband isn’t showing in your app, you can add it in – you’ll just need to use your new Vodafone account number and 4-digit PIN.
What if I want more data?
Head to the My Vodafone app, select Plan & Add-ons and select the extra data you need. 1GB, 15GB and 50GB of data can be bought.

How can I pay my Wireless Broadband bill?
Once you’ve selected your preferred method of payment on the Ways to pay page, use the Vodafone A option.
Can I use Vodafone TV with Wireless Broadband?
No, Vodafone TV is only available with Unlimited Fibre Broadband.
