Super! You've got SuperWifi. Let's get you set up.
Set up your Deco Wifi network
Download the TP-Link Deco app onto a smartphone or compatible device. You can do this via the App Store or Google Play, and you need to do it before you power on your Deco X20. Once you have installed the TP-Link Deco app follow the instructions to set-up your Deco Wifi network. The steps below provide you with an overview of the set-up process.
1: If you are a new user to TP-Link, you will need to create a TP-Link account and then follow the prompts to log in.
2: Create your new Deco Wifi network by tapping the X20 to select your Deco model.
3: Take one Deco X20 unit from the box and place near your broadband modem.
4: Turn your broadband modem off.
5: Plug in the Deco X20 unit but don’t turn it on yet. Plug the grey Deco X20 Ethernet cable into the LAN port on your Deco and the other end into the LAN port on your modem. This Deco is now your master unit.
6: Turn your broadband modem back on and make sure it is connected to the internet. This could take a few minutes.
7: At this stage you will be asked to name your Deco WiFi network. We recommend you use the same name as your broadband modem WiFi network name. Once you have done that disable your current broadband modem WiFi network to prevent any conflicts or interference when you reconnect.
8: Turn on your master Deco X20 unit and wait for the flashing blue light.
9: Once you have a flashing blue light the app will automatically set up your Deco Wifi network. It will ask you to name your Deco Wifi network and provide a password.
10: The Deco app should now guide you through the next part of the connection process for additional Deco X20 units.
Connect your devices
Once you have completed the set-up of all the Deco X20 units, you can connect your devices to your Deco Wifi network by searching for and connecting to the new Deco SuperWifi name you’ve set-up.
To connect additional Deco X20 units, tap the ‘+’ symbol on the right-hand corner of the app to add extra X20 units and follow the instructions.

Helpful tips for super SuperWifi coverage
Many things can interfere or weaken the quality of your Wi-Fi signal, and it may impact your connection and speed experience. Look out for internal building materials made from metal, concrete, marble, tiles or brick, as Wi-Fi cannot penetrate these materials.
The general rule of thumb is to place your Deco X20’s around your home where you need Wi-Fi coverage the most. By following our Out, Up and Open positioning principles, thinking about heavy usage in the home as well as what may interfere with Wi-Fi, you’ll find where best to place your Deco X20’s.

Place out of cupboards, packed shelves, from behind TVs, from under desks, in the kitchen and from the far edges of your home.

Place away from obstacles, cluttered spaces and with a clear line of sight outwards.

Place away from blocking objects, electrical appliances and in the clearer air for the signal to get out.
If you’re gaming, streaming via TV, or you have Vodafone TV, we recommend connecting with an Ethernet cable to your Deco X20 for the most reliable connection and consistent speed.
