Details on how change of ownerships work for Business customers

Why does the person taking over my account only have 10 days to contact you?

The account remains active and continues to bill in your name for at least 7 days after the person taking over your account contacts us. To make sure you don't accumulate on-going charges, we want to have the services in the new person's name as soon as possible.

What happens if the person taking over my account does not contact you within 10 days?

We will arrange for disconnection of your services, this is to ensure you do not accumulate on-going charges.
In the event your account is disconnected, you will be liable for any early termination fees and be responsible for ensuring any of our equipment is returned to us.

What will happen when the person taking over my account contacts you?

The Customer Service Representative will set them up with a new account, obtain all the information we need to complete the transfer and obtain the information we need to complete a credit check.

Is there any reason the change of ownership would be delayed?

Yes. The transfer can be delayed for the following reasons:

  • The person taking over your account needs to provide more information in order for the credit check to be completed.

Is there any reason the change of ownership wouldn't be completed?

Yes. The change of ownership will not be completed if we are unable to offer services to the person you have nominated to take over the account. (In this case we will contact you to determine what to do with your account).

I want to keep some of my services, what do I do?

You can nominate what services are transferred to the new account owner. We will transfer these services to the new customer and leave the services you want to keep on your own account.
