What is Vodafone Secure Access?

Vodafone Secure Access is delivered on Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access security-as-a-service cloud platform. It provides all the core security capabilities enterprises need, converged into a single platform, and managed from a single console. Vodafone Secure Access delivers secure access to all networks, applications across all business locations and users via cloud-delivered architecture.

What does Vodafone Secure Access do?

The service fully inspects all application traffic (including SSL/TLS-encrypted traffic) bi-directionally on all ports, whether communicating with the internet, cloud, data centre, or between branches. It also provides more security coverage by consolidating multiple products into a single converged platform that includes:

  • Firewall-as-a-Service
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
  • CASB
  • Cloud Secure Web Gateway (SWG)
  • VPN
  • Autonomous Digital Experience Management (ADEM)
  • Segment-wise insights and auto-remediation

Vodafone Secure Access is built on a scalable network, leveraging the combined infrastructure of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud, with more than 100 service access points in 76 countries across every continent. It delivers ultra-low latency, backed by industry-leading SLAs, to ensure a great digital experience for end users.

How is Vodafone Secure Access priced and packaged?

Vodafone Secure Access has a modular packaging design. It allows customers to secure remote networks and mobile users, and to select from various capability packages, depending on their specific business needs. For more information on pricing and packages, please contact your TSP (Technical Sales Professional).

Can you deploy Vodafone Secure Access alongside existing VPN solutions?

Yes, Vodafone Secure Access provides secure connectivity to remote locations and users. Organisations can deploy the solution alongside their existing VPNs. Some organisations choose to leverage the WAN capabilities in Vodafone Secure Access to mange their site-to-site network connectivity or secure their remote devices. The flexibility of deployment also enables secure remote access to unmanaged devices.

How does Vodafone Secure Access carry data between the cloud service, business locations and remote users?

Vodafone Secure Access uses secure, encrypted tunnels to carry traffic. Remote users can access the Prisma Access service edge via a locally installed client (GlobalProtect™ IPSec or SSL VPN), clientless (SSL VPN, or Explicit Proxy (PAC file) via a web browser.

What is Autonomous Digital Experience Monitoring (ADEM)?

Autonomous Digital Experience Management (ADEM) is the industry’s first SASE-native, DEM solution from Palo Alto Networks. ADEM enables organisations to understand user experience, and drive automated remediation with integrated visibility from GlobalProtect™ clients and the Prisma Access Cloud. ADEM provides detailed segment-wise insights across the whole delivery path between users and applications, including endpoint devices, WiFi, network paths, and applications.

For more information about ADEM, please contact your TSP (Technical Sales Professional).

Who manages the service?

Customers have the option to select either a Vodafone Managed Service or Self-service option, depending on requirements. Your TSP (Technical Sales Professional) can help assist your customers to choose the solution that best suits their needs
