mTicket

mTicket is this the easiest way to buy tickets or what? With mTicket your Vodafone mobile becomes your ticket dispenser, your credit card, your ticket and your mate on the door.

With mTicket you can use TXT or Vodafone live! to buy tickets to concerts, sports events and dance parties. It may be the most convenient ticketing system ever -- and it sure beats camping out at the ticket office. And how cool is it to flash your mobile at the door instead of handing over a scrap of paper?
You arrange your tickets with TXT or on Vodafone live!, pay for them with your Prepay balance or on your Vodafone account, and then you're sent your mTicket as a TXT. Show it on screen at the door, and you're in.

Whenever an event catches your eye, look for the mTicket logo. It tells you mTicket is available (and it also tells you it's a cool event).

  • You can purchase mTickets anywhere, anytime -- so there's no queuing for tickets or hanging on the phone, listening to another round of that groovy on hold music.
  • Your mTicket is sent to you as a TXT, so you can't lose it in the mail, leave it on the table or put it in the wrong handbag when you head out. If you've got your mobile, you've got your ticket.
  • Your mTicket money isn't given to the promoters until the event goes ahead -- so if it's cancelled, you get your money back less your booking fee.

Watch an online screen-by-screen demo of mTicket, or follow this step-by-step:

  • TXT the event name (as shown on its advertising) to 858
  • You'll get a TXT back, confirming the event details and the ticket price.
  • Reply with the number of tickets you want (maximum of four -- this is mTicket, not mScalper!)
  • You'll get a TXT confirming the total price, including your booking fee.
  • Reply with the word BUY to purchase the tickets, or do nothing to cancel.
  • You'll receive your mTicket as a TXT, including your booking number, ready to show at the door to gain access to the event.
  • Your ticket price will be debited from your Vodafone account or Prepay balance, but won't be forwarded to the organiser until the event goes ahead. (If the event is cancelled, your mTicket will be refunded, less your booking fee)

All the TXTs you send to the mTicket number, 858, are free.

You can also buy your mTickets on Vodafone live!, under "Out & About".

Turn up at the venue and just show your mTicket TXT at the door. It includes a unique mTicket number, event name, event date & the number of tickets you bought. If you've claimed a student or beneficiary discount on your mTicket, you'll need to show your Student Card or appropriate ID at the door as well.

Every current mTicket event is listed on Vodafone live! Under "Out and About". You can also check the list online at the mTicket site.

If you're organising a rave, sports event, concert or anything else, why not use mTicket? Your event will appear on Vodafone live! and meshmo.net's site, and it saves you a lot of the ticketing headaches. Contact meshmo.net for more information.
