We've put together some tips to make life easier and save you money while you're roaming.
If the numbers in your contacts are formatted with +64 at the beginning you can dial New Zealand numbers just as easily from overseas as you can when you're at home.
Simply replace the first zero of an area code or mobile number with +64.
To dial numbers in other destinations, including the destination you're travelling in, you'll need to put their country code in front too.
09 123 4567 becomes +64 9 123 4567
021 123 4567 becomes +64 21 123 4567
You can access voiceMail in the most popular destinations by dialing 707
In other destinations, you'll need to dial +64 21 700 700.
Make sure you save these numbers in your contacts. When you call, you'll be prompted to enter your mobile number, starting with 21, and your 4-digit pin. If you don't know your PIN or need to reset it, click on the link for more information.
