In order to roam to some destinations* you will need to swap your current SIM card for a new one - but don't worry, this is easy!
Buy an extended roaming SIMExtended roaming SIMs are also available at the Vodafone stores at Auckland or Christchurch airport.
Please note: Our Extended Roaming service is not available to devices that require a Micro SIM, such as the iPhone 4 and iPad. If you want to roam with these devices it is best to pick up a local Micro SIM on arrival in your destination.
Extended roaming is not available to prepay customers.
When you get the new SIM card please call 777, or 888 if you're a business customer, using your existing SIM card and quote the number on the back of your new SIM to the customer services representative. They will ask you to quote the number on the back of your new SIM card, then your new card will be activated and you'll be told what to do. Simple.
Your phone number will remain the same. But if you store your contacts on your SIM you will need to transfer them to your new SIM. Find out how.
