Things to know

  • 4G Add-On enables access to 4G LTE service that also requires a 4G capable handset or tablet, and 4G coverage. See vodafone.co.nz/4G for more information.
  • Each call has a minimum charge of 60 seconds. After the first minute calls will be charged on a per second basis.
  • If you wish to change an NZBestMate it will cost $3 (incl GST). Any changes will be effective from the beginning of the following month.
  • Calls to NZ landlines don’t include calls to 123, 018 or 0900 numbers.
  • TXT messages are limited to 160 characters. If your TXT exceeds this limit, TXT message will be sent as two or more TXTs and applicable charges apply.
  • If you cancel or change a Smart plan on a 24 month term before the term end date you must pay the applicable fee (this could be an early termination, resign or plan transfer fee). The fee you pay could be up to 50% of the full monthly fee multiplied by the number of months left on the term. Find out more about plan cancellation or change fees.

$0.49 per minute for calls to mobiles & landlines once you’ve used your included minutes.

International calls

$0.51 per minute for mobile & landline calls in Australia, Ireland, UK, USA & Canada.
$1.43 per minute for mobile & landline calls to the rest of the world.
Satellite Calls per minute: $15.64 Inmarsat A, $11.50 Inmarsat B, $4.03 Global Star.

TXTs

$0.20 per TXT once you have used your included TXTs.

PXTs

$0.20 per PXT to any Vodafone NZ mobile
$0.51 per PXT to mobiles on any NZ network & international mobiles

Additional data

$0.20 per MB once you’ve used your included data.

Video calls

$0.49 per minute to Vodafone mobiles.
$2.05 per minute to mobiles on any NZ network & international mobiles.

Phone Insure

Provides cover in the event of accidental damage, theft or loss of your mobile in New Zealand and when you are travelling overseas. It costs $11.44 (incl. GST) per month. Only applies to customers who have purchased a new mobile in the last 30 days.
