Add different features to your home phone, like voicemail and caller display.

Our home phone features are billed on a monthly basis only. If you want to cancel any of your home phone features, you just need to let us know before the end of the month.

You need to have a One NZ home phone and calling account to buy any of these additional phone features.

Select how your broadband and phone is connected and then select your feature.
To add any of these features to your plan log into My One NZ or call us on 0800 438 448. Then follow the guides below to set up and use the calling features.

  1. Sign into My One NZ
  2. Select "Phone features" from the left hand menu and choose the feature you'd like to add from the list.
  3. The monthly cost will be automatically added to your bill.

Calling rates
Your home phone service comes with our standard per-minute calling plan, which includes local calls and low calling rates to national and international landlines and mobiles.
Our current plans also offer free national calling. If you make lots of calls, a calling Add-On will give you fantastic value.

BestMates for home phone

Monthly fee $6.00


Nominate up to 5 friends or family members, with a NZ mobile or NZ landline, then call them as many times as you like for up to 2 hours per call, for one flat fee.

  • BestMates for home phone is included for $6 on eligible home phone and broadband packs. Just remember to nominate your five favourite phone numbers.
  • Each call can last for up to 2 hours.
  • Calls over 2 hours are charged at 26c per minute for NZ landlines and 36c per minute for NZ mobiles.
  • All other calls will be charged at standard per minute rates

Voicemail

If you're on the phone, busy or out and about, callers can leave a message for you which you can access from a single mailbox. Easy.

To setup your new Voicemail service for home phone just dial *61 from your home phone and follow the prompts.

Call Waiting

Monthly fee $4.09


Answer another call, even when you’re already on the phone.

Once set up, use the ‘flash’ or ‘recall’ button on your phone to move between calls.

Phone Divert

Monthly fee $4.09


Transfer your incoming calls to another number, so you can answer calls to your home phone wherever you are.

Things to know

  • Calling charges apply if calls are diverted to a mobile phone number or to another phone outside your local calling area, unless you have one of our calling plans.
  • To active Phone Divert, you will need to have set up your Voice Mail first.

Caller ID

Monthly fee $4.09

See who’s calling before you answer the phone, providing you have a compatible phone or a Caller display unit.

Things to know

• Caller ID also lets you keep track of who has called. As long as the caller stays on the phone so it rings at least twice, the phone or display unit will keep a record of all the people who have called.
• In some situations, Caller ID can’t show a caller’s number. For example, overseas numbers, payphones and some mobile phones.

Toll Call Control

Monthly fee $4.09


Manage chargeable calls (calls made outside your calling area, 0900 services and mobile phone calls) made from your home phone.
When Toll Call Control is set activated, no chargeable calls can be made from your phone.

Things to know

• Toll Call Control does not prevent incoming collect or transfer charge calls.
• You will still be able to make calls to 111 emergency services.

Three Way Calling

Caller ID for mobile and Wireless Broadband phones is free with Wireless Broadband and Calling plans.
A compatible phone is necessary to use this feature.

BestMates gives you free calls to up to 3 One NZ mobiles (up to 2 hours per call). $6 a month for 1 number, $10 a month for 2 numbers or $12 a month for 3 numbers.

Voicemail

When you’re away from your phone or just busy, Voicemail will answer your calls and take messages for you.

For Home Phone Wireless customers, there is a monthly service fee of $5.11 but calls to voicemail are included in your plan. Please call us on 0800 189 189 to add mobile or Wireless Broadband voicemail to your service.

Phone Divert

Monthly fee $2.05


With Call Divert, you can control what happens to inbound calls so that if your phone is off, outside of coverage or you don’t answer within 20 seconds, Call Divert sends that call to voicemail, or to another number specified by you.
