We want you to be inspired to make a difference to our community and environment, so you can inspire colleagues, family and friends to make a difference too.
The Vodafone Foundation is our charitable trust set up in 2002 and funded solely by donations from Vodafone. Our initiatives and programmes are focused on encouraging positive and healthy outcomes for young New Zealanders aged 12 to 24. For information on the work of the Foundation check out www.vodafonenzfoundation.co.nz and read more on our 4 core programmes below.
Our key programme and one that any New Zealander can be involved in. The World of Difference programme pays the salary and expenses of up to six passionate New Zealanders every year so that they may work for a youth related charity of their choice for 12 months.
This initiative allows Vodafone people to work with youth-related organisations for up to two weeks while still getting paid. Anyone at Vodafone can apply for one of the many positions to work with a partner organisation that they feel passionate about, helping to make a difference to the lives of young Kiwis.
This ‘matched giving’ programme enables Vodafone staff to raise funds for a New Zealand charity they’re passionate about and have any money raised matched by the Vodafone Foundation – dollar for dollar up to a value of $5,000. This encourages our people to make a positive contribution to the world around us and for their charities of choice to be financially supported by Vodafone.
Spend a year with the World Food Programme supporting their humanitarian efforts in supporting crisis situations around the world. A global Vodafone Foundation initiative, this provides 7 international opportunities, 4 of which will be given to employees. Find out more.
Our Corporate Responsibility is built into the way we think, work and operate. It's one of the four passions that drives Vodafone globally: a passion for the world around us. It's also one of our six strategic goals: to be a responsible business.
We currently have seven Corporate Responsibility initiatives in New Zealand.
