The Challenge

The team at Geovert was constantly waiting around for written approval from off-site management. Unfortunately, this was causing major delays of up to 24 hours. 

For example, Geovert project managers often operate in extreme environments, such as operating on the side of a cliff making changes to drilling depth.  However due to strict contractual obligations, changes have to be confirmed in writing.  That means project managers need to send a fax or an email – while they are 120 feet up in the air.

Geovert wanted to reduce the amount of wasted time and resource.

The Solution

After assessing Geovert’s needs, Vodafone offered them the BlackBerry. A robust, handheld email device, the BlackBerry allowed Geovert workers to get written confirmation and attached plans, while they were on the move. The ‘push’ method of email meant there was no dialling up and their emails could find them the moment the device was turned on.*

The Payoff

Thanks to the BlackBerry there are no unnecessary delays on the job, saving everyone time and money. It’s the perfect solution to Geovert’s problems and it’s only available through Vodafone.
