What do I need to use Broadband Assistant?

  • Have one of the Vodafone fixed line broadband plans (or our naked broadband plans)
  • Be using a Windows PC (Windows XP or above)
  • Browser: Internet Explorer 6 or above.

Note: Broadband Assistant is not available for Mac OS computer and is not compatible with Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari browsers.

Next steps

You will then need to install the software following these steps.

  1. Locate where you saved the downloaded Broadband Assistant software.
  2. Double-click the file to open it and then double-click the exe file to start the installation.
  3. The software start-up screen will appear and the installation will start.
  4. Simply follow the steps shown on-screen to install the software onto your machine.

Please note:

  • To install Broadband Assistant, you need to have administrator rights for your computer.
  • If you have more than one user on a single PC, any existing or new user accounts must also have administrator rights for Broadband Assistant to work effectively
  • If your browser security settings are set to 'high', this may stop the download from starting. To overcome this set the browser security settings to 'medium' before you download the software, then switch back to 'high' when you've finished installing it.
