Apps allow you to be more connected to friends and family anywhere, anytime.
An app is an Internet application that runs on a smartphone and other mobile devices. Unlike browsing, apps do a specific task that makes it easier to use the Internet. Examples of apps include news, weather and travel information.
Apps provide a range of up-to-the-minute information directly to your mobile, without you having to open up a web browser and select a bookmark or enter a search. They are quite simple to use and only download the key information you need.
Mobiles use different operating systems – e.g. Apple iPhone uses iOS, while Google Android use, Android. Apps developed for different mobiles won't work on another, so apps need to be downloaded from different app stores.
