The RBI-funded infrastructure will all be open-access, encouraging competition among service providers by offering wholesale DSL and wireless packages, as well as giving other service providers the option of co-locating (putting their own hardware) on the Vodafone-managed cellsites.
As part of the successful RBI Tender Vodafone NZ committed to complying with non-discrimination obligations for the provision of wholesale broadband and co-location services prescribed in the attached Deed (VF ND Deed FINAL). This Deed was clarified by the Commission in July 2012, in the attached Commission Decision (Vodafone RBI Deed Clarification 2012).
